I am immensly impressed by the acting of Peter and Ben in the scene with a saloon girl named Lurene in a bar. Starting with the reaction Heyes has as he watches Lurene drink and then the wonderful communication for both boys are made down shot after shot of whiskey, to Peter carrying the scene through to its end by showing the after effects of drinking that much whiskey so quickly -- with the hoarness and apparent burning of the throat.
My Comment:
I think also in this scene, Peter himself (not as Heyes) is realizing how much drinking can hurt someone's throat but he doesn't show in in this scene.
